That's because safety should be your first priority, no matter what. The easiest way to keep everyone safe around the swimming pool is to limit access. You don't want trespassers to get into your pool and go swimming without your permission and you don't want your kids or pets to get into the pool without supervision. A good, strong fence will take care of that. So, before it's time to swim, go check around your fence and make sure that nothing is loose or broken. 

Look For Cracks

The first thing that you are going to look at when you start looking at the pool is if there are any cracks. Cracks in the pool mean that you are going to have leaks. If you can get into the pool while it is empty, you may want to get in there so that you can get a close look at the whole pool area so that you can see if there are any existing cracks or any places where cracks may be starting.
